PROJECT OVERVIEW
This was a group exam project that was meant to display our skills gained throughout the whole academic year. The main objective was to work with a chosen brand and help with identifying design- and brand-related issues. Later, targeting them with our skills. Therefore, our project focuses on re-designing the website, the shopping flow as well as providing content for social media.
EXECUTION
The project required a thorough research to identify the main problems of the website as well as brand identity. We used Design Thinking Process to execute the assignment and get a better understanding of the steps to be followed. The user research has presented us with findings that highlighted that the website is not intuitive and does not align with desired brand image. We introudced a new colour palette in line with the research findings as well as prototyped a webiste that was tested and improved. Moreover, we produced videos and photos to align with the improved branding.
SKILLS GAINED
This project has grown my skills in JavaScript – including API, database management, fetch option alongside responsive HTML and CSS. Moreover, this assignment has also improved my UX skills by using Adobe XD. Additionially, I had a chance to apply user testing through BERT Test, Think Aloud Test as well as Trunk Test. Lastly, I practiced my skills in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and Lightroom to edit the social media content.
